Kate Dowling Jewelry Design

These earrings were modeled using Rhino 5.0 software, 3-D printed with a ProJet HD plastic printer, and cast in sterling silver with a centrifugal casting machine. The earring posts were then soldered onto the backs and the pieces were polished and textured. The colors of the eyes and wings were achieved by mixing liquid resin with differently colored pastels and dry pigments. After the resins were poured and cured, and stones were set and the pieces were finished!
