Kate Dowling Jewelry Design

 

This ring was modeled using Rhino 5.0, 3-D printed with a ProJet HD plastic printer, and cast in sterling silver with a centrifugal casting machine. The piece was polished and the stones were set (prong setting and gypsy setting), and then further cleaned and gold plated. This is a fairly large cocktail ring, as the center lemon quartz is 14mm. The center stone evokes honey and the side stones are reminiscent of flowers.
